Lead Game Designer | Producer
While working at Space Bit, I simultaneously adopted the multiple roles of Lead Game Designer and Producer of the products. In Benfica Football Merge my focus was on managing the game, ensuring the quality of production, and establishing direct communication with our stakeholder, Hermit Crab.
This was a good opportunity to put the knowledge of my mentees to the test. At the same time, I could closely observe their processes and decisions, helping in key points of progression and economy.
The production challenge was to develop an efficient economy for the soft launch. An idle merge is simple by the mechanical premise, however, its selling point was to offer collectible content for Benfica fans, with the coreloop being the mechanism for success in sideloops.
Benfica Football Merge proved to be a good continuity product having achieved the expected initial download conversion.
